Meet Erna

Erna became part of our New Life Community Church family in 1997. While enroute to Kamchatka, Russia to participate in a prayer journey, she stopped in Minnesota and graciously agreed to teach at our family camp. Erna's mission career began in 1993 when she did a Youth With A Mission (YWAM) Discipleship Training School in her home country of South Africa. Upon completion of her DTS she served YWAM in the personnel department of the base in Muisenburg, South Africa, and later in the finance department of YWAM's Mercy Ships branch. In 1997 the Lord opened the door for Erna to go abroad with YWAM and she went to Sweden to staff a School of Intercession, Worship and Spiritual Warfare. From Sweden she moved to Scotland and helped establish an intercession ministry with YWAM in that country.

After Erna's first trip to the USA in 1997, she returned again in 1998. At that time the New Life leadership invited her to make MN her home base, which she did. At the present time she continues her ministry with Youth With A Mission, serving as pastoral care staff for TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) schools.
