Meet our Pastors

Pastors Fred and Beverly Brown began New Life in their home in 1982. The Holy Spirit was very clear that God wanted a non-denominational, Spirit-filled congregation in this city. New Life has moved through a series of meeting places until we were planted at our current address.

It is in God's heart to raise up a people who will be motivated by His love and empowered by His Spirit. The heart of New Life is to spread God's love abroad in our hearts. Thus we have been a true "mission-minded" church.

We also believe it is God's heart to love our brothers and sisters in our city. New Life is an active member of the Park Rapids Area Ministerial Association. Pastor Fred has served as chairman of this group for the past two years. We believe that as we come together in God's love it will impact the spiritual climate of our city.

God has prepared our pastors for their ministry through many life experiences and with formal training and education. Pastor Beverly holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Bemidji State University and is ordained by the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology. Pastor Fred holds a Bachelor of Science degree from North Central University and a Master of Arts degree from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology.

Pastor Beverly has God's heart of compassion and care for Christians around the world. She directs the many missions projects that New Life participates in. New Life spends very little of our income on ourselves for frills or extras, believing that what comes into our hands must be shared with others in the body of Christ.

New Life Community Church is home to many loving, caring and worshiping saints. Pastors Fred and Beverly are very blessed to be a part of this family.
